Sixty Years On
Not only Germany, the Germans too have come a long, long way in the last sixty odd years. The Soccer World Cup in 2008 is often defined as a turning point in this country, when the World was shown how friendly and welcoming this country is. And so many noticed.
That is true. Nothing happened overnight though. The last two decades were defining years for the people of Germany. But the years prior to the falling of the wall should not be neglected when searching for the truth behind the creation of a peaceful, caring and open society.
The concept behind the Smile Days asks for people from home and abroad to donate their smile for Germany. Some time or other, a competition should take place with voting for the favourite smile. Upload your photo onto wherever site you wish to. Invite professional photographers to join in. Tell your favourite celebrity about it, your friends, your colleagues, your neighbours. Make a tshirt with your smile or somebody elses; your boyfriend, your girlfriend, your most least liked person...
