Is it possible to demand respect from a colleague without the instrument of grammar? Can we utilise phonetics, tonality, respectful attitude and body language? Would it be easier in a small company or department than it would in a large corporate organisation? Surely it makes no difference.

Let's just commence by stating we've joined this project and suggest our colleagues do too. Then all of us, including the folks that started already at the last office party, can tell the boss how great it would be if he or she joined in with the duzen.

They just love happy staff and efficiency. So once the whole department is rapidly onboard, talk to the others. They have probably heard already how easy it is and are more than happy to invite others too.

Our clients have been doing the same without us even being aware. Since they welcome anything to their advantage, they'll gladly join in too. Get the picture? Easy isn't it?
